BEACON HILL – THE ROBERT ALLEN GROUP

One of my favorite fabric sources is The Robert Allen Group.  We specify fabrics from all four brands of their fabric collections:  Beacon Hill, Robert Allen, Robert Allen Contract, and Robert Allen@Home.

Robert Allen designs are always fresh, innovative, stylish and original.  I love how the inspiration for their designs comes from art, history, and nature, to name a few.  Robert Allen products and are of the finest materials and construction found in the industry today.

M Designs has turned to Beacon Hill many times over when asked to create window treatments for our clients.  Beacon Hill’s use of refined materials and opulent color palette enables us, as designers, to provide a luxurious, one-of-a-kind product.

BARCLAY BUTERA – FINE FABRICS AND RUGS FOR KRAVET COLLECTIONS

In the last installment in my series about Barclay Butera and his licensed products, I would like to talk about the fine fabrics and rugs that he has designed for Kravet Collections.  These fabrics and rugs are so beautiful and luxurious with rich textures and colors, it is hard to make a selection….you’ll want them all!

In creating his fabrics and rugs, he drew inspiration from everything from classic fashion styles and periods to his extensive travels.  He uses pattern-on-pattern and various shades and textures resulting in a fabulous lifestyle interior for each client.

bb bookAs Barclay discusses in his book “Living in Style”, he has created four lifestyle design collections …City, Beach, Mountain, and Town & Country.  Click here to see a fantastic video of his creation.  www.kfi.net/mkting/boudoir/Barclay_Butera.htm

Below are the sample books for each of these lifestyle design collections.

In Barclay’s City collection, he chose a palette of deep chocolates, rich grays, and cinnamons.  He also uses leathers and rich textured fabrics for a “transitional luxury” feel.

The Mountain collection says “retreat” be it in the mountains or in New York City.  Color selections include reds, deep chocolates and animal prints.

Moutain

Barclay was thinking of great Midwestern cities when he designed the Town & County collection.  He chose a palette of soft colors with subtle tones of blues and greens, along with floral prints, making for a very charming style and feel.

The Beach collections says it all…crisp blues and whites for a fresh color palette.  These colors, used along with seashell embroidered fabrics really pull you into the feeling of being at the beach, no matter where you are.

Kravet presents Barclay Butera’s rugs through their “Tufts by Kravet Carpet” line.  These rugs are hand tufted and can be made in semi-worsted New Zealand wool, viscose or a combination of each, with construction options of looped or cut textures. Below are a few samples of these beautiful rugs.
